Chiropractic over the years has diversified and taken on numerous techniques and philosophies. As a profession it has become one of the most frequently used non-allopathic, non-invasive health care treatments for musculoskeletal complaints, preventative medicine, and for many, alternative family medicine The chiropractic practiced at Integrated HealthCare includes gentle diversified manual adjusting, low force activator instrumental adjusting, the use of pelvic blocks, and many disciplines within the practice of Applied Kinesiology. Postural muscles need to maintain balance to give integrity and stability to the joints they attach to. If there is a muscular imbalance from side to side, the stronger muscle will "pull" the joint off center creating lack of stability, and often nerve impingement, with resulting pain and dysfunction. Chiropractic adjustments or manipulations that are performed at our clinic are done with the muscle balance as the foundation. This allows the spine and/or joints of the extremities to maintain correction. Looking at the whole person is primary even when there appears to be but a simple neck or low back problem. Many aspects in life such as posture, sleep, and diet and exercise can cause stress in the joints and necessitate chiropractic care.
